Ski mountaineering is a discipline that is growing in popularity, with countless off-piste routes for exploring hidden corners and landscapes well off the beaten track. You can also experience the wonderful feeling of freedom on the Freeride runs, skiing downhill off-piste through solitary valleys, with steep slopes and gullies, as free as a bird. There are also numerous snowparks, in fact the Fassa Valley forms part of the Super Freestyle Dolomites, the largest snowpark circuit in the Alps.
The Alpine Boutique Villa Cristina Hotel is exceptionally located, just a short walk from the CIAMPAC CABINOVIA gondola lift and the COL DEI ROSSI FUNIFOR!
In a matter of minutes, ski lovers can reach the CIAMPAC – BUFFAURE CABINOVIA, the starting point for the PANORAMA SKITOUR, the wonderful ski carousel connecting the ski areas of BUFFAURE AND CIAMPAC; almost all of the runs are red, apart from the “Vulcano” and the famous “pista del bosco”, or “woodland run”; there is also the brand new ALBA - COL DEI ROSSI FUNIFOR lift, which in a few minutes links Alba 1500 a.s.l. to the Col dei Rossi 2377 a.s.l. – The starting point for the “SELLARONDA”, the world’s most beautiful and spectacular ski carousel. This scenic route runs for approx. 40km around the Sella group and connects the four Ladin Valleys: Fassa, Gardena, Badia and Arabba. The GREAT WAR ski tour is an historic tour that winds between the summits of the Civetta, Pelmo, Tofane, Col di Lana and Lagazuoi, Conturines, Settsass, Sassongher, as well as the Sella massif and the Marmolada, the Queen of the Dolomites.
NOT ONLY SKIING, BUT A HOLIDAY AMIDST NATURE, WITH BREATH-TAKING SCENERY.
There are numerous itineraries suitable for peaceful winter snowshoe walks, a particularly charming and healthy activity, in close contact with nature, in the snow, between the mountains and the sky.
And that’s not all: ice skating, children’s snow playparks, thrilling sledge or bobsleigh runs, perhaps after a delicious dinner in a mountain refuge, as well as some amazing ice climbing with the help of expert guides.
